American Writers Fellowship Announce Second Annual Short Fiction Contest
Media Partners llc and American Writers Fellowship to Publish Contest Winners
American Fork, Utah--3-10-03-- The American Writers Fellowship announce their second annual short fiction contest with winners being published and promoted worldwide.
Media Partners llc and The American Writers Fellowship will select ten winners of the Writers Fellowship Short Fiction Award. The authors winning manuscripts will recieve a cash award and their work is subsequently published by the Writers Fellowship Press under a standard book contract and distributed and promoted throughout the world. The Writers Fellowship may select more than ten winners occasionally. "We're excited about this contest," says Randy Jernigan, founder of The American Writers Fellowship and director of this years compitition. "It's always exciting for us to work with so many talented writers and authors. That's what it's all about for us."
The competition is open to writers in English, whether published or unpublished.
Stories that have appeared in anthologies or magazines may be submitted. Stories previously published in a book-length collection of authors own work may not be included. Manuscripts must be typed, must fall within the range of 15 to 25 double-spaced pages and must be numbered consecutively (by hand is acceptible). The authors name, address, phone number, and email address if applicable should appear on the cover sheet. Photocopies are acceptable if they are legible and printed on good quality white paper. All submissions must be accompanied by a $20.00 submission fee. Please make checks payable to Media Partners llc. Retain one copy of the manuscript for your files. Manuscripts submitted to the contest will not be returned.
Authors may submit manuscripts to other publishers while the same manuscript is being considered for this competition. Please notify us immediately if your manuscript has been accepted elsewhere after it has come under our review process.
Authors may submit more than one manuscript to the competition as long as each submission is accompanied by a $20.00 check, meets all eligibility requirements, and does not duplicate material submitted to us in another manuscript.
Dates for Submission:
Manuscripts must be submitted between Feb 28, 2003 and April 7, 2003 (postmark should be no later than April 7, 2003). Send manuscript to Media Partners llc P.O. Box 1004 American Fork, Utah 84003. Winners will be notified by May 5, 2003. All entrants will recieve a letter announceing the winning manuscripts. Authors winning manuscripts will be expected to submit the manuscript on disc.
