Nutshell Promotes “Hi-Touch” Leather Cases at the “Hi-Tech” Pocket PC Summit

To celebrate its attendance this week (May 28 -31) at the world’s first international Pocket PC Summit, the New Zealand based Nutshell Corporation Ltd gave away 500 specially branded leather holsters.

Designed to protect a Pocket PC from the unexpected during everyday use, the reinforced black leather belt pouches, embossed with the Pocket PC Summit logo, were distributed to Summit delegates and media representatives.

“Nutshell travelled half-way around the world to be here, and we wanted to make sure people remember us,” explains Nutshell Director Ian Miller.

“In an increasingly technical world there is a growing countertrend; in addition to keeping their personal computers safe, people want to balance their use of technology by touching and using natural leather.”

“The growth of specialist field-force and sales-force applications using mobile technologies means corporate users need a specialized case manufacturer to contain multiple devices,” says Miller. “We work closely with systems integrators to develop carry-case solutions that provide peace of mind in everyday operations. Our cases are being increasingly specified for courier, medical, retail and other demanding environments where device security is paramount.”

Nutshell’s holsters and carry cases are manufactured using only the finest quality New Zealand cowhide to perfectly compliment the high levels of technology embodied in the Pocket PC platform.

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, the Nutshell Corporation Ltd has been designing and manufacturing innovative products for the fashion industry since 1978. Incorporating over 100 years of leather working skills, the company has been actively developing solutions for the handheld industry since 1997.
